Ferrari geeft cijfers vierde kwartaal: 22% winst

Het gaat Ferrari voor de wind. De Italianen tekenden in het vierde kwartaal van 2019 immers een winst op van 22%. Sowieso was 2019 een goed jaar, want er werd 1,27 miljard euro verdiend.

Ferrari verkocht in het laatste kwartaal van 2019 flink meer Portofino- en 812 Superfast-modellen. Dankzij die impuls kon het Italiaanse merk een flinke plus van 22% aantekenen. In drie maanden tijd werd 333 miljoen euro verdiend. Ferrari draaide toch al een goed jaar, waardoor de jaarwinst op net geen 1,27 miljard euro uitkomt.

Groei voortzetten

In 2020 wil Ferrari het weer iets beter doen en voorziet een jaarwinst van net iets onder of net iets boven de 1,4 miljard euro. In de periode 2019 tot en met 2022 wil Ferrari in totaal 15 modellen introduceren, liet het eerder weten. Inmiddels zijn de eerste vijf – de Ferrari F8 Spider, F8 Tributo, 812 GTS, SF90 Stradale en Ferrari Roma – een feit, waardoor Ferrari nog tien modellen voor ons in petto heeft de komende drie jaar. De kans is groot dat daar een SUV bij zit en met een beetje mazzel verschijnt die snelle hoogpotige nog dit jaar.

Elektrisch

Wie zit te wachten op een volledig elektrische Ferrari, moet minimaal wachten tot na 2025, want eerder willen de Italianen de brandstofmotor niet vaarwel zeggen. Dat Ferrari niet helemaal wars is van elektrificatie bewijst de SF90 Stradale. Die sportwagen heeft liefst drie elektromotoren aan boord.

The 4.6 HSE, also known as P38A, was the second generation Range Rover, almost a quarter of a century after its debut. That meant that now we were in the 90s, and the concept of SUV had dramatically changed. People didn’t put off-road capabilities at the first place, instead they asked for luxury and comfort. During the design stage, several firms were contacted, and Bertone even made a full scale model, but at the end they opted for the classic British style, rightfully so. The 4.6 HSE gave exactly that (the HSE stands for “High Specification Equipment”), for instance it had an advanced, yet very troublesome, air suspension system, powered by the 4.6L V8, that would produce 225 hp and 280 ft-lb of torque. On the inside, it was basically a living room, so much in fact that in 1996 debuted the possibility of ordering one with a television and video system with VHS player. It was without a doubt the best off-roader in the world at the time of its debut, although unfortunately its cutting-edge electronics had plenty of faults, but it helped set the bar of what a luxury SUV should be. ? @iamted7
